Nominate Your Faculty Advisor for
HMC’s Educator of the Year Award

Nomination Process

Nominations can only be completed by registered students in HMC Boston 2024. Students are to complete the nomination form below and submit a 250 to 500 word essay about why they believe their faculty is deserving of this award. The essay should discuss the role the faculty has played in bringing the mission of HMC back to the delegate’s school and the role the faculty has played in developing their civic education skills.

To be eligible, the faculty member must be an active educator at a public or private high school or debate program and must be present at the HMC conference in February.

The winning faculty will be presented with an award at closing ceremonies as well as an Amazon gift card for the purchase of classroom supplies. In addition, the student authoring the winning entry will receive a merch gift basket from HMC!

The Executive Board of HMC wishes to express its thanks to all our faculty members and chaperones who help make HMC possible. Without their tireless work, often on a volunteer basis, the vast majority of students would simply be unable to attend our programming.

To celebrate them, we are excited to launch a new student essay contest and subsequent award to celebrate HMC’s Educator of the Year.
